Hi! I’m Betsy

................

Hi, I’m Betsy 👋 — educator/advocate/parent — who’s passionate about helping families and teachers support neurodivergent kids in ways that actually work.

Everything I teach is based on The Calm Systems Method-predictability before behavior, visuals over verbal, and one small system at a time.

I’m also someone who knows firsthand how exhausting it feels when the tools you’re given don’t fit the kids in front of you.

I believe parenting and teaching kids with ADHD, Autism, and other neurodivergences should be less about “fixing” and more about celebrating strengths, building skills, and creating structure that feels doable.

What I Do

Through my programs/resources/content, I create simple, realistic strategies that help parents and teachers:

  • Cut down daily chaos (especially mornings + homework).

  • Build routines that neurodivergent brains can actually stick with.

  • Shift from constant frustration to more calm, connection, and confidence.

I make it playful, practical, and real — no perfection required.

Who I Help

I work with:

  • Parents of ADHD + Autistic kids who feel like every day is an uphill battle.

  • Teachers who want to support their neurodivergent students but aren’t sure where to start.

  • Families + schools who want tools that honor kids’ unique brains instead of trying to force them into systems that don’t fit.

The families and teachers I’ve worked with often say things like:

✨ “Our mornings are finally smoother — no more tears just trying to get out the door.”
✨ “Homework doesn’t feel like a battlefield anymore.”
✨ “I finally feel like I understand my child’s brain — and that changes everything.”
✨ “I have tools I can actually use, not just theory.”

At the end of the day, my work is about helping you trade overwhelm for clarity, chaos for structure, and self-doubt for confidence.

Because raising and teaching neurodivergent kids is hard — but it doesn’t have to feel impossible. 💛

A Simple Visual Tool for Calmer Transitions—Starting Today

If transitions turn into meltdowns, power struggles, or shutdowns in your home or classroom, you’re not alone.

Many kids—especially ADHD, autistic, and sensory-sensitive kids—struggle not because they won’t transition, but because they don’t yet feel safe with what comes next.

The First–Then Starter Kit was created to change that.
