🚀 Tuesday Momentum: How to Keep Going Without Burning Out

If Mondays feel like climbing a hill, Tuesdays can feel like sliding back down it. The novelty of a “fresh start” has faded, and ADHD + autism families often face the mid-week dip: half-done routines, forgotten homework, growing fatigue.

But here’s the reframe: Tuesdays don’t need intensity — they need momentum.

Why Momentum Matters

  • ADHD and autistic brains thrive on movement, not pressure.

  • Starting is the hardest part — so once you’ve started, keeping things small and steady is better than going big.

  • Little wins compound into confidence.

A 3-Step Tuesday Momentum Plan

  1. Anchor Yesterday’s Win
Ask: “What worked on Monday?” (even if tiny). Repeat it today. Momentum comes from repeating wins, not reinventing the wheel.

  2. Use a Momentum Buddy
Pair tasks with company. Sit together for homework, fold laundry while chatting, or set a classroom buddy system. ADHD brains stick with tasks longer when someone else is near.

  3. Shrink the To-Do List
Instead of tackling 10 things halfway, pick 3 and finish them. Use a “Top 3 Tuesday” list — it’s enough, and enough is everything.
